Kid A is the fourth studio album by the English rock band Radiohead, released on 2 October 2000 by Parlophone. After having suffered a mental breakdown promoting Radiohead's acclaimed 1997 album OK Computer, songwriter Thom Yorke envisioned a radical change in direction. The band replaced their rock sound with synthesisers, drum machines, the ondes Martenot, string orchestras and brass instruments, and incorporated influences from electronic music, krautrock, jazz, and 20th-century classical music. They recorded Kid A with OK Computer producer Nigel Godrich in Paris, Copenhagen, Gloucestershire and their hometown Oxford, England. The sessions produced over 20 tracks, and Radiohead split the work into two albums: Kid A, and Amnesiac, released the following year. In 2001, Kid A received a Grammy Award nomination for Album of the Year and won the award for Best Alternative Album.

Sailing around Neptune, visiting a mysterious seventh planet, cruising around Orion and exploring the ends of the universe are the many places this space music goes. The composer, Mark Petersen, uses emulator and synthesizer voices to create his unique brand of planetarium space music. The music portrays magnificent visions of the universe. Relaxing, yet stimulating, the styles include traditional space music, which is ethereal, beautiful and floating, as well as more dynamic and rhythmic works with rich textures. All of the pieces on this album were composed as soundtrack music for planetarium shows, but are fantastic for space enthusiasts all over.

Live Frippertronics performances taken from recordings in New York City between July & August 1981. Mixed and Produced by David Singleton from audio restored by Alex R. Mundy. Vinyl cut by Jason Mitchell at LOUD mastering. The finest example of Frippertronics in performance. After completing the first round of concerts with a revived King Crimson starting in May 1981, Fripp headed over to the USA where he began a week-long residency at Washington Square United Methodist Church on 135 W Fourth Street in New York. Built in 1860, the church had historically been home to many congregations but in more recent years had become the venue for groups such as the Black Panthers, Gay Men's Health Crisis and numerous arts organisations. The series of Frippertronics concerts were held in aid of a Soho-based theatre group and they find the guitarist using his technique of slowly building the music from the ground up, step by step.

What Remains is a dynamic confluence of sonic worlds — four interconnected passages that venture from analog-sequencer driven elegant futurism, to yearning and mysterious tribal ambient, to conclude with the heart-wrenching, pure-atmospherics of the title track. This sonic odyssey reveals a masterful culmination of the different electronic musics Roach has developed and explored over the last forty years.

5-time Grammy nominee David Arkenstone has established himself as one of the best contemporary instrumentalists of our time. This visionary continues to create distinctive tracks that inspire the imagination. “I envision a place where I would like to go, or an adventure I would like to take, and let my imagination run free,” says David.20 years ago I recorded ‘Music Inspired by Middle Earth Vol. l.’ As I’ve always been inspired by Tolkien’s books and his stories are still such a part of my life, I was excited to revisit this world again. I treated the album as if I was composing the movie in my head I wanted to score. There have been significant advancements in musical tools for the modern composer, so I was eager to explore orchestrating and performing the majority of the recording on my own. That, plus the notion that hopefully my skills have also improved over the years, led me here.

Electronic music pioneer Klaus Schulze has released Silhouettes, his first album of new music in 5 years. “In the wake of your 70th birthday, you naturally find yourself looking back at the past,” notes Schulze. “So the result is a reorientation, a renewed awareness of what is really important.” With this album, Schulze says that he has tried to reduce his music to its essential elements. “No great distractions, nothing to force your attention in a certain direction, no major effects or gimmicks, no frills or dominant rhythms,” he explains. “ It was important to me to paint the pictures in the depth of the space, the sonic fields of tension and atmosphere.”

Issued in 2007 on the 4AD label, THE BEST OF LISA GERRARD collects many of the finest tracks by the former Dead Can Dance vocalist/multi-instrumentalist. While the compilation includes a few tracks by that revered act, most notably the mystical "Yulunga (Spirit Dance)," a song that showcases Gerrard's striking voice, it primarily focuses on her solo work and film compositions, which both draw from music across the globe. On these pieces, Gerrard often collaborates with fellow Australian native Pieter Bourke, as on the passionate "Swans" and the expansive "Sacrifice," the latter from the INSIDER score. Although this anthology is a mere fraction of Gerrard's recorded output, it does serve as an excellent introduction to her impressive catalogue.
