Cavern Of Anti-Matter return for their third studio album on their own Duophonic label. Hormone Lemonade sees the band heavily utilising the sounds of modular synths and home built drum machines, yet still keeping the loose, improvised sound familiar to fans of their first two albums, with minimal guitar melodies and live drum kit helping to build hypnotic layers of texture.

With Tangerine Dream's recorded output spread across close to 40 years of work, and a variety of record labels as well, a comprehensive overview of their output would be a behemoth of a box set. This two-disc collection of odds and rarities cannot even begin to approach those proportions, but still its journey hits many of the high points that one would hope to find, as it traces band mainstay Edgar Froese at least into the early 1990s. The set opens with a pair of cuts recorded by Froese's pre-Tangs band the Ones in 1967, a couple of darkly atmospheric psych rockers that are far removed from anything he would go on to create. These are followed by brutal live takes on the two-part "Ultima Thule" that marked the Tangs' debut single, but which highlight the new band's personal direction by borrowing much from period Pink Floyd…

For the first time, from the vaults of electronic music guru, Klaus Schulze, comes The Schulze-Schickert Session, a rare and previously unreleased private session featuring echo-guitar pioneer Günter Schickert. Recorded on 26 September 1975 in Klaus Schulze's home studio in Hambuehren, Germany, Schulze can be heard playing an EMS Synthi A, as well as keyboards, and a Syntanorma, while Schickert plays a 12-string Framus with metal strings and also sings on a few tracks. Although Schickert's name is little-known outside of a very select circle of krautrock fans, he was a key member of the Berlin free jazz scene of the 1960s and a pioneer of the echo-guitar.

Tangerine Dream live in concert at Thomas Wolfe Auditorium during the Moogfest 2011.
It’s end of October, the 28th, 2011, 8 pm - a night to remember for many fans - a lot of them already in funny Halloween costumes - who turned up at Moogfest especially for the Tangerine Dream performance at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium in Asheville, NC. American, Canadian as well as British TD fans have such a loyal connection to the energy of a TD concert that it is even for the band themselves always a breathtaking experience.
Now in their 44th year after the name Tangerine Dream appeared first time in public, one could assume that the musical energy has probably slowed down, but it is the opposite, a bundle of energetic rhythms, sounds and lead lines will accompany you through a night of a remarkable live experience…

As the title implies, the music here is presented as an organic continuation of the original album, and Jarre manages to skilfully revisit the old stomping ground with instrumentation that doesn't sound too out of place (perhaps a happy side-effect of the original Oxygene sounding so far ahead of its time) and sprinkles on a few more modern electronic influences (including a bit of trance here and there) which refresh the sound of the album whilst keeping its character recognisable. Motifs from the original album come back to play here and there, but there's enough new material to make the album more than a mere exercise in nostalgia.

French synthesizer guru Jean-Michel Jarre brought progressive electronic music to the mainstream, releasing several best-selling albums that helped pave the way for synth pop, new age, and trance, in addition to performing extravagant, record-breaking concerts. He became a household name following the release of 1976's Oxygène, a home-recorded synth odyssey that eventually sold more than 12 million copies worldwide. Following its success, he began staging large-scale outdoor concerts featuring laser displays and fireworks, breaking the world record for concert attendance three times…

Level Pi is a one-man project from the Rhineland, stylistically related to the early Pink Floyd, Tangerine Dream, or Klaus Schulze. The person behind this is a certain Uwe Cremer who is playing all the instruments himself, especially the guitar and the synthesizer. Spherical sounds above which a lonely electrical guitar is majestically floating. Uwe Cremer regards his CD as homage to the days when Krautrock was still young and Pink Floyd still wrote music.

Gert Emmens Project is the progrock project from Gert. Since quite some years, Gert is making progrock besides his Electronic Music projects. There is a strong seventies feel in his progrock music. His influences are Camel, Genesis, Steve Hackett, Allan Holdsworth, UK and others. Fusion unfluences can be heard as well.
The styles crossover the Wakeman-esque style of melodic Mini-Moog runs to sweeping symphonic workouts similar to Nick Magnus & Patrick Moraz, with solos that bring the likes of Eddie Jobson (U.K.) to mind, making music that will appeal to anyone with an ear for strong melodic keyboard playing.
