"Love's Lost Property" is the 2nd album from the duo of award winning singer/songwriter, Rachel Cohen (ex-Karnataka / The Reasoning) and Jonathan Edwards: founder, songwriter and keyboard player with Panic Room / Luna Rossa. Unafraid to investigate a range of musical territories, the album incorporates lush, cinematic soundscapes alongside seductive and emotional instrumental and vocal melody lines. Guests include Dave Gregory, Kate Ronconi, Steve Balsamo and, of course, the band’s engineer and co-producer Tim Hamill on acoustic/electric guitars, electric bass and all drum programming.

Kotebel's self-released debut, Structures, contained promises – but the production (synthesizer only with programmed tracks) held the music back. This second offering, released by the giant prog rock label Musea, is much more satisfying. Although still very much keyboard oriented, Mysticae Visiones is better programmed (the drums have considerably improved) and features other instrumentalists. The presence of guitarist César Garcia and flutist Omar Acosta provides a lush '70s progressive rock atmosphere not unlike Maneige circa Ni Vent Ni Nouvelle or the instrumental albums of Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Cellist Francisco Ochando and singer Carolina Prieto add more occasional touches. The music of Carlos Plaza (the man behind the moniker Kotebel) remains romantic, symphonic, highly melodious.

Chaos Code were originally a Baltimore, Maryland-based band that formed in 1997. The band's music ranges from symphonic to heavy rock to jazz/fusion, and is characterized by strident brass, and biting, sometimes apocalyptic lyrics. Finest Prog in 70's style, well balanced between soft lyrical and heavy rocking parts. Heavy use of mellotron and flute provide a base of 70's-inspired symphonic sound into which the band infuses 80's-influenced post-punk lyrical and percussion sensibilities, and mystic multi-part epics with a decidedly modern tone. The sound spans many moods and can be compared at times to King Crimson, early Salem Hill, and mid-career Jethro Tull at times.

Zorbonauts is a new band name under which the more serious musical side of those otherwise abstract humourists, Deckchair Poets, now shelter. Thus Zorbonauts is also based upon the musical talents of Geoff Downes (Yes), Nick D’Virgilio (Big Big Train), Ollie Hannifan (Synaesthesia), Dave Meros (Spock’s Beard) and Lynden (Jerusalem). Zorbonauts first release, Tall Tails, is a contemporary look at material originally performed and recorded by Lynden, during his early Jerusalem days, which has now been turned inside-out, given several lyrical alterations, and, in the case of Primitive Man, an impressive extention. It should be noted that the track, She Came Like A Bat From Hell, was written, performed, recorded (in 1971), and released (in 1972), many years prior to Meatloaf’s first album of a vaguely similar name.

Bobby Shock is a multi-instrumentalist and producer from NJ. Bobby Shock music consists of prog, psych, and pop rock elements.

Although this nugget clocks in at only a hair over half-an-hour, it reveals the Groundhogs at what was arguably the crest of the Brit blues power trio's creative peak. The band featured the strong sonic personalities of Tony T.S. McPhee (guitar/vocals), Peter Cruickshank (bass) and Ken Pustelnik. Their straight-ahead heavy rock was more than a simple extension of 12-bar blues as their penchant for incendiary improvisation and strong original material rate among their assets. Live at Leeds '71 was recorded on April 13, 1971 as they opened up a series of U.K. concerts for the Rolling Stones. According to urban legend, this live set was documented and pressed in a very limited edition at the behest of Mick Jagger, and as a professional courtesy of sorts…

Pencarrow is a four-piece prog band from Wellington, New Zealand, combining diverse musical backgrounds and influences to create adventurous and thought provoking music. An exploration of love, loss, the sense of self, and the unfathomable fluctuation of time in complex human relationships. This cinematic musical journey is driven by progressive rock and embellished by orchestra, Javanese gamelan and multiple guest soloists.

"Often times, we end up with something really magical,” Anastasio says of working with his friends on his quarantine tracks. “I’m not going to say our songs are magical, but I often have an emotional agenda, and sometimes the combo of thoughts kind of merge together, and one-plus-one ends up making three.”

Nick Johnston is a Canadian guitarist and songwriter who records as a solo artist. As of 2019, he has released five solo records. His albums have featured the work of notable artists such as Paul Gilbert, Marco Minnemann, Guthrie Govan, and Bryan Beller. He has also played on songs by other artists including Intervals, Scale the Summit, Periphery, Polyphia, David Maxim Micic, and Mike Dawes. He has toured extensively with artists including Plini and David Maxim Micic. In May 2019 he went on a North American tour with Between the Buried and Me and The Contortionist. Johnston has cited musical influences such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Jeff Beck, saying "I sound nothing like those guys, but I’m massively influenced by them".

Led by classically trained drummer Christian Vander, the Paris-based Magma have been, in their way, perhaps the ultimate progressive rock group; while other artists have achieved greater commercial success and critical acclaim, Magma have typified the many ambitions and excesses of the genre that won them as many detractors as fans, even going so far as to invent their own lyrical and musical language in order to bring their unique vision to life…
