Originally released in 1979 on the Orion label 'Music For Complete Jazz Dance Class With Lea Darwin' is an absolute double vinyl treasure vault of tracks composed by percussionist and multi-instrumentalist Rick Panzer. Re-discovered by Klinkhamer Record shop boss Michel Veenstra, it is now being reissued on BBE Music as part of the Klinkhamer series.Michel Veenstra first heard the album in the early 2000s and spent years trawling through German phone directories to find the correct Rick Panzer to get his blessings to once again release the album to a music loving public. The album itself heralded the track 'Pre-Stretch Warm-up' which featured on the Klinkhamer Volume 2' compilation to great acclaim and airplay from broadcasters and DJs.

House Of Love originally released in 1994. This Expanded Anniversary Edition contains selections that have never been available anywhere such as alternate versions of songs including “House Of Love” (Michael Omartian version) which was originally titled, “Any Amount Of Money”, “Oh How The Years Go By” (Keith Thomas Version). For the listener, these versions provide a deeper glimpse into how a song can develop over time and be interpreted differently by the two producers of the original album. Additionally, there are bonus tracks included that were ‘B-Sides’ of radio singles originally released in limited distribution or only available in certain territories but are now available in this collection including “Life’s Gonna Change” and “Politics Of Kissing.” Rounding out this edition are several remixes of radio singles, “Lucky One”, “House Of Love” and the incredible cover of the Joni Mitchell classic, “Big Yellow Taxi.”

I've always liked the idea of releasing music that has just been composed. I know well that this goes against the core principles of publishing new music: releasing material that has just been recorded leaves little time to promote it properly.
On the other side, however, is that taking the time to promote a work before it is released risks distancing those who will listen to that music from the creative moment that generated it. Over the years, I've always tried to bridge the gap as much as possible between the 'creative flame' and the work to be published, to the point that now, when it comes to solo piano, I almost exclusively release the 'first' recording of an idea, of an intuition. I rarely rework it, and I rarely use the typical 'tricks' of those who do this job. What you hear is what came to me while I was sitting at the piano—with all that this entails, including the inevitable imperfections that a 'first take' can bring.

Ramón "Mongo" Santamaría Rodríguez was a rumba quinto master and an Afro-Cuban Latin jazz percussionist. He is most famous for being the composer of the jazz standard "Afro Blue", recorded by John Coltrane among others. He was an integral figure in the fusion of Afro-Cuban rhythms with R&B and soul, paving the way for the boogaloo era of the late 1960s. This album has been released in 1966 via Columbia Records.

Miles Davis recorded these four songs in 1955 with a band that featured bassist Charles Mingus, who released the LP on his own independent label Debut Records. Davis and Mingus are joined by trombonist Britt Woodman, vibraphonist Teddy Charles and Elvin Jones on drums.
