Steve Earle's debut album, released in 1986, rocketed him to the top of the Billboard country chart, garnered two Grammy nominations and yielded a hit single at two formats: the title track went top 10 at country radio and top 20 at rock. Guitar Town has also been included on the Rolling Stone list of the 500 greatest albums of all time and was named one of the best albums of the 1980s. This 30th anniversary edition has been remastered from the original tapes.

The unforgettable self-titled release emerged as one of the finest initial outings made by any rock group. This multi-platinum classic is full of the group’s psychedelic sound and poetic lyrics. Frontman Jim Morrison’s bluesy vocals are simply haunting. Included is the band’s signature song, “Light My Fire”, which has sold over a million copies and topped Billboard’s Hot 100.

In 2003 it was listed as number 159 of Rolling Stone's list of 500 greatest albums of all time and peaked at number 26 on Guitar World magazine's list of 100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time.

This live recording of J.S. Bach’s St Matthew Passion features the Netherlands Symphony Orchestra and the group Concensus Vocalis under the baton of Jan Willem de Vriend. It’s a performance that took place at the Muziekcentrum Enschede in April 2014.

Acclaimed bassist & vocalist Nicki Parrott is joined by sax player Houston Person, pianist John di Martino along with a host of competent musicians for this album dedicated to songs of the Winter season including several Christmas tunes. From 1974 until 1985, Van Halen consisted of Eddie Van Halen; Eddie's brother, drummer Alex Van Halen; vocalist David Lee Roth; and bassist Michael Anthony. Upon its release, the band's self-titled debut album reached No. 19 on the Billboard pop music charts. By the early 1980s, Van Halen was one of the most successful rock acts of the time. The album 1984 was a hit; its lead single, "Jump", is the band's only U.S. number one single to date and was internationally known. For this Hi-Res release (2013) were used transfers from the original EQ production analog tapes.

Callas first sang at Milan's legendary La Scala for the opening of the 1951-1952 season (in Verdi's I vespri siciliani) and she became closely identified with the theatre, notably in productions directed by Luchino Visconti and his protege Franco Zeffirelli. Spontini's La vestale was staged for her there in 1954, Bellini's Lasonnambula in 1955, and her final La Scala performances came in 1962 with Cherubini's Medea. 'This wonderful record gives us… Callas at her most spell-binding and enthralling,' wrote Gramophone. 'Callas at La Scala… shows the diva at her most exciting and most beautiful'.

Recorded in 1949 when Maria Callas was just 25, this debut recital encapsulates the young soprano's astonishing maturity, versatility and technical finesse. She had already sung all three roles showcased here - Wagner's Isolde and Bellini's Norma and Elvira (I puritani) - in the theatre. As Gramophone, which described the recital as 'incandescent and spellbinding', wrote: 'The Liebestod is a beautiful example of sustained interpretation, with a long line running through the whole piece, each phrase finding part-fulfilment in the next until the climax is reached,' concluding overall that: 'The eloquence of phrase and the technical control put at the service of a discerning heart and mind are obvious to hear'.

"Brave New World" was the first album to feature the return of lead singer Bruce Dickinson and guitarist Adrian Smith, and the band's twelfth studio album overall. The album peaked at #7 on the UK Albums Chart and has been certified Gold. It debuted at #39 on the US Billboard 200 chart.

"Out of This World" is the second album for the Blue Note label by The 3 Sounds. The album is a mix of jazz standards and original compositions by Gene Harris.

"Just Between You and Me" is Porter Wagoner & Dolly Parton's first duet album, released in January 1968, shortly after Parton joined Wagoner's band and became a regular on his weekly television show. The album's single was a cover of Tom Paxton's "The Last Thing on My Mind"; the album and the single reached the top ten on the country albums and singles charts, respectively. The title song, written by Jack Clement, had been a top-ten hit for Charley Pride earlier in 1967. Parton originally wrote "Put it Off Until Tomorrow" for artist Bill Phillips.

"Walkin’", now considered one of the earliest essential albums in the Miles Davis canon, comprises two classic 1954 sessions: one with a quintet; the other a sextet. The influential sextet session, featuring trombonist J.J. Johnson and Lucky Thompson on sax, took advantage of long-playing record technology with two extended jams that announced both the return of modern jazz musicians to a focus on the blues and the coming of the funky hard bop era. The quintet date, with underground legend Davey Schildkraut on alto sax, provides the first inkling of the trumpeter’s haunting muted style and introduces his classic composition "Solar".

Trumpeter Miles Davis led several sessions for Prestige Records between November 1955 and October 1956 with his legendary "first" quintet, featuring tenor saxophonist John Coltrane, pianist Red Garland, bassist Paul Chambers, and drummer Philly Joe Jones. The sessions represent an incomparable musical legacy. Impeccably engineered by Rudy Van Gelder, the music was released on five albums that provide a unique glimpse at how five brilliant instrumentalists coalesced into one of the most extraordinary ensembles in modern jazz. Workin' presents an easygoing program that balances ballads with the blues and includes quintet performances of originals by Davis ("Four"), Coltrane ("Trane's Blues"), and Dave Brubeck ("In Your Own Sweet Way"); an interpretation of the standard "It Never Entered My Mind" without saxophone; and a piano-trio version of Ahmad Jamal's "Ahmad's Blues." Coltrane's melancholy solo on Brubeck's tune and Garland's spry excursion on Coltrane's are two of this classic's many highlights.
