Yotam Silberstein, one of the leading jazz guitarists of his generation, has gained acclaim for a sound rich in bebop and blues as well as musical folklore from South America, North Africa and the Middle East, giving his music an increasingly global thrust.

Acclaimed vocalist José James' "Yesterday I Had The Blues: The Music of Billie Holiday" is a tribute to the legendary singer in honor of Holiday’s 100th birthday. The stunning set of 9 songs written or popularized by Holiday was produced by Blue Note president Don Was and features a stellar band including pianist Jason Moran, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Eric Harland.

Celebrating Miles Davis & John Colrane, "Directions in Music: Live at Massey Hall" was recorded on October 25, 2001. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Jazz Instrumental Album, Individual or Group in 2003, the year of its release.

July of 2021 found John Patitucci on tour in Italy with Chris Potter on saxophones and Brian Blade on drums. Patitucci says, “The tour in 2021 in Italy was an incredible experience with my two dear friends, who happen to be some of the greatest musicians in the history of jazz music. The tour was organized by Alex Travi, who had the idea that we should bring someone to record live at some point during the tour. All the tracks, with the exception of Without a Song, were recorded in Genova, Italy on July 22, 2021. Without a Song was recorded on July 24, 2021 in Alba, Italy.”

As a result of his stylistic and harmonic innovations, he is the most studied contemporary jazz musician in music schools throughout the world today. This posthumous release comprises the last recordings Michael Brecker made before his untimely death in January 2007. The all-star lineup on Pilgrimage, which includes Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, Pat Metheny, Jack DeJohnette, and John Patitucci, has worked in various combinations over the past four decades.
