Jahrhundert hinein war Alessandro Scarlatti eine der wichtigsten Persönlichkeiten des europäischen Musiklebens und beeinflusste die musikalische Entwicklung sowohl in der Oper als auch in der Instrumentalmusik.Die Aufnahme zeigt die Vielfalt der musikalischen Werke, die der einflussreiche Barockkomponist schuf: von Sinfonien, Arien und Concerti bis hin zu Concerti grossi und Sonaten für Flauto dolce, Streicher und Basso continuo. Scarlatti war ein Meister in der Kunst der Instrumentalkomposition.
