The Kingfishers came together in March 1982 after Article 58 split up. The band only lasted 12 months, and the album they began to forge was never completed - 40 years later Douglas MacIntyre returned to the studio with a reconfigured Kingfishers to record the debut album - Reflections In A Silver Sound, released in May 2023 by Last Night From Glasgow in conjunction with Creeping Bent.
