An article, two names, a duo, a flawless statement and a promising album. Otto Hirte (sax, cl, fl) and Leon Albert (g) like to joke. Nevertheless, their hearts beat for serious music. They express this tragic inner turmoil in their joint compositions in a sensitive and humorous way. With its gripping emotional intensity, the ensemble convinces every second, even in twelve-tone works of up to 15 minutes. These are supplemented in the concert program and on the first album by exciting improvisations with virtuoso double saxophone and baritone guitar, but also by well-temporary pieces with borrowings from popular music.
