What's new in NX 2412.5001 Release
Enhancements to manage ship structure penetrations
You can now use a Cutout feature to create a penetration, add the penetration assembly to the ship container, and specify cutout edges for mark only.
You can use the following Ship Cutout and Ship Container for Penetration Request customer defaults to manage penetrations:
Use Ship Cutout to Create Cutout
- NX creates a ship Cutout feature when you create a penetration request and specify a cutout in the Penetration dialog box.
- In previous versions, NX always created a Subtract feature to define a cutout.
Use Ship Container to Wrap Cutout Subset
- NX adds the penetration request assembly to the current ship container when you create a penetration request.
Create Mark Only Feature for Cutout Edges
- When you select the Use Ship Cutout to Create Cutout customer default and create a penetration request, NX adds a Mark Only attribute to the manufacturing information of the Cutout feature.
- In the Review Request dialog box, the Review Decision list includes an ApproveMarkOnly option.
When you delete a penetration request, NX now deletes the cutout in the plate.
