NOVEMBER TO FEBRUARY is a very busy period for the Reader’s Digest team. This is when the entries for our annual 100-word-story competition flood in—and there are thousands. We delight in reading every single one; the only hardship is that we have to whittle them down to a shortlist! You, our readers, have voted for your favourite in each category (adults, 12–18s and under-12s), and we can finally reveal the winners on p57. Once you’ve read the stories, there’s plenty else to enjoy in this issue.
