October’s special one-off collectable edition features a beautiful foil cover to celebrate the Irish Tarmac Championship’s 40th Birthday, and we have an in-depth, feature packed edition to join in their celebrations.

Kevin O’Driscoll has a comprehensive look at the history of the Irish Tarmac Championship and how the Tarmac Rally Organisers Association began its journey when the organisers of the five International rallies in Ireland got together and formed TROA.

Over the years, rallying on the island has been graced with some special foreign visitors too, and we look back at the likes of the arrival of Ari Vatanen, Stig Blomqvist and Markku Alen to name a few. There have been decades of close finishes, as well as titanic championship battles, famous stages and of course the important part the media have played in the years of coverage.

Special columnists this month include, Gerard Quinn, Plum Tyndall, Sammy Hamill and Paul Browne along with interviews with Austin MacHale, Andrew Nesbitt and Eugene Donnelly.

On top of all that we also have our normal Rally coverage too this month with plenty of rally reports and features throughout.

We celebrate new Scottish Champion Andrew Gallacher who took the title at the recent Galloway Hills, while we have an in-depth interview with newly crowned MSA British Historic Rally Champion Paul Barrett too, while Matt Edwards took the BTRDA title on the Woodpecker Rally and there are comprehensive reports on all the events inside.

Our Terry Harryman feature continues this month too, and its proving a very popular read for a lot of people by all accounts and one that we have enjoyed compiling.
