What a Story!: Listening Comprehension

Twenty stories form the basis of this listening comprehension course. They range from the 'moral' and the 'horrifying' to the 'silly' and the 'amusing', and all have been recorded spontaneously by people involved in the incidents. The Student's Book contains an introduction to each story and a wide variety of exercise material. As well as multiple choice and open-ended comprehension questions (following the pattern of the author's previous book, Listen to This'), there are exercises for aural discrimination, vocabulary extension, structure and usage, and guided composition. A Teacher's Book that contains transcripts of the stories is also available.
