The portions of the book discussing the self-organizing map are exquisite…The book ends with an overview of the self-organizing map literature and a glossary. I have never seen a literature overview of this quality, comprehensiveness, and refinement…The result is a marvelous tool for finding just about any information that exists regarding self-organizing maps. Rarely has any subject been provided with such an index of knowledge.
