The Battleship Yamato (Anatomy of the Ship) (Repost)

With the greatest displacement, biggest guns and heaviest armour, "Yamato" and her sister "Musashi" were the ultimate battleships. Everything about them was gigantic - each main armament turret, for example, had a total revolving weight of over 2500 tones - and they proved formidable opponents to the US Pacific Fleet. The author has assembled a portfolio of drawings, and the photographic section includes some very rare on-board views. This contribution to the "Conway's Anatomy of the Ship" series features over twice as many detailed drawings as a standard volume.
