Tribute albums are always suspect; classical interpretations of rock even more so–and follow-ups to the same are fraught with mediocrity. Just witness the inexplicable glut of String Quartet Tribute discs to Tool, Bruce Springsteen, and many other top-selling and cult artists. On Hold Me to This, his second run at the music of art-rock group Radiohead, classical pianist Christopher O'Riley avoids all these pitfalls. These aren't easy-listening piano renditions of Radiohead tunes, but deeply inspired, often challenging and dissonant re-imaginings.

Bad Company was a British blues-rock supergroup formed in 1973 featuring members of Free (Paul Rodgers and Simon Kirke), Mott the Hoople (Mick Ralphs) and King Crimson (Boz Burrell).Their eponymous debut album was released in 1974 and was an immediate hit, promoted by the singles "Can't Get Enough" and ""Movin' On". They repeated this success the following year with Straight Shooter which spawned the singles "Good Lovin' Gone Bad" and "Feel Like Makin' Love". The albums they released during this incarnation of the band peaked with the platinum-selling Run with the Pack but began to decline.

Originating in Winnipeg, Canada, Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO) formed from the ashes of the Guess Who who broke up when Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings could no longer get along. In 1973 BTO was born, and released their eponymous first album in the spring of that year. However it was their second album, Bachman-Turner Overdrive II, released later the same year which proved.
