Of all the products we reviewed, FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 by IMSI is the easiest to use. But its simplicity is due to lack of features; this is the main reason FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 ended up with such a low ranking.


Feature set:
Although FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 offers some unique features like the ability to add lighting, furniture, artwork, colors and textures, but the program is missing powerful design tools that add detail and personality to your home design.


Ease of use:
FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 is one of the easiest programs we’ve seen due to its intuitive navigation and well thought–out design.


Ease of installation/setup:
We didn’t have any problems installing FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11.


Help/Documentation:
IMSI has given FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 one of the best help sections we’ve ever seen. Both tutorials, Beginning and Advanced, are detailed and easy to follow. After going through these (a four to six hour process) you know enough to design a house from scratch with the program tools. There are also topics you can research, an index search section and an online forum available for FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11.


Summary:
FloorPlan 3D Design Suite 11 by IMSI is a good program for the average person who wants to spend time trying different designs to see what they look like before they arrive at the perfect house design. It is not, however, for people who want to inject a lot of customized features and personality into their design.
