Oscar Peterson is considered without a about to be once of the greatest piano players of all time, he has been stunning audiences for over fifty years with his virtuoso performances that have taken jazz to another level. oscar started off at a very early age learning his craft and was soon heralded as a technically brilliant and melodic inventive jazz pianist. The late 60's and 70's saw Oscar's work that cemented his position as a jazz great who has earned seven Grammy awards and in 1978 was elected to the Canadian Music Hall Of Fame. A substantive single-CD collection, it features quite a few show tunes, and a stack from the songbook of Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart. Duke Ellington is also well represented at the tail-end of these 18 tracks.
