Lee Scratch Perry - Lord God Muzick

In 1991 after his succesful European tour,
Lee Perry entered Channel One Studio in Kingston, Jamaica,
to record his new album, Lord God Muzick.
This album, complete with fierce dance grooves and lyrics from the stratosphere, from the bionic magician himself;
is bound to please his fans in Europe and America who were waiting for the latest manifesto from the mighty Upsetter.
With a wave of his magical rod of correction, Lee Perry of the Space Police was off again on his journey through myths and minds.

Recorded at the famed Channel One Studio,
Perry toasts, chants, babbles, rants and raves,
and delivers his own unique cosmological observations over 12 dancehall and roots riddims.
One of his most "out deh" releases.
He comes along in a aggresive kind of way,
with "imperial orders" to the Queen of England, to the "devil governments",
to free his people and deliver us from evil.
In "Colt the Game" a serious question is: "who shoot King Tubby's?",
ask the fat man; suggesting Bunny Lee has something to do with, which is not so far out,
because Bunny Lee later got the copyrights of a lot of King Tubby's stuff.
shuffle, shuffle, shuffle…boo (B)(f)unny Lee…the mental skeleton…

I hope you jah rastafari, green gold and red…

Certainly Lee Perry's enemy number one, Chris Blackwell,
owner of Island Records isn't missing, in Lee Perry's tirade…
"Mr. Blackwell, listen to this! This is hot shit…"

There is even a hidden message included, find out…
Overall very refreshing album, also after 15 years.
