Keith Jarrett - Spheres

Label: Ecm Records | Genre: Classical/Instrumental | MP3 VBR: 256~320 Kbps | 75,5 Mb | Original Release 1976

Solo performer: Keith Jarrett (organ).
Recorded at The Benedictine Abbey, Ottobeuren, Germany in September 1976. This album was originally released as part of the two-disc HYMNS/SPHERES. SPHERES is presented in four movements, all of which are improvisations on a baroque organ at the Benedictine Abbey in Ottobeuren, Germany.
This Hymnns and Spheres record, with Keith at the pipe organ (knowing his anti-electric stance, one can only assume the bellows were hand operated) captures a vivid sense of space. The Spheres are dense, improvised slabs of almost overwhelming power, with strange, shimmering textures and glassy drones coaxed from Jarrett's crafty half stop effects. It is a must for Jarrett lovers.
