Badfinger is the fifth album by British rock band Badfinger. The album was recorded in autumn 1973 and released in 1974 on Warner Bros. Records. It was the first of two albums released by the band on the Warner label. The cover art for the album shows a woman wearing a riding outfit and hat from the 1920s and smoking a cigarette in a cigarette holder. Features some melodies & vocal harmonies which are reminiscent of the group's mentors, the Beatles. Includes 'Love is Easy', 'Shine On', 'Song for a Lost Friend' & nine others.

Between the Earth and the Stars is the seventeenth studio album by Welsh singer Bonnie Tyler, released on 15 March 2019 by earMUSIC. The album was produced by David Mackay. Following the release of Rocks and Honey in 2013, Tyler remarked to Kiss FM that she expected it to be her last. In 2017, she announced that she had been inspired to record another album after hearing "fantastic new songs" written for her by Kevin Dunne, who played bass guitar in her first band in the early 1970s. In December 2016, she visited the Cash Cabin Studios in Nashville to commence recording with John Carter Cash. In 2018, Tyler announced that she would instead be working with David Mackay, who co-produced her first two albums, The World Starts Tonight (1977) and Natural Force (1978).

Fit to Be Tied was intended to be the definitive Joan Jett hits package, and it nearly succeeds. Since Jett's Blackheart label only secured the rights to her first four solo albums (her most consistent work), the singles from the uneven Up Your Alley – "I Hate Myself for Loving You" (one of Jett's best originals and biggest hits) and "Little Liar" – had to be presented here in alternate versions. While the re-recording of "Hate Myself" and the live version of "Little Liar" are executed faithfully, they may bother fans who want the original recordings.

Famous Groupies, who have been talked about as super high-level Paul McCartney followers, will release their new album in 2024 and will be their last! This album, announced as "the last album", was written by the late great-grandfather of the McKenzie family, Patrick McKenzie, and most of the songs were written in the early 1970s, most likely between 1969 and 1977.

Cheap Trick may no longer be playing the stadiums that the group's monumental talent surely warrants, but they do have one of the most loyal cult followings in all rock & roll. Thus, when Epic Records decided to release a four-disc box set celebrating the quartet's 20th anniversary with the label, someone there was smart enough to let the band put together a collection for the collectors. Which means 32 of the 64 tracks here are previously unreleased, including many live cover tunes (Beatles, Velvet Underground), demo takes, and a few things only a fan would want. Some hits are here (including "Surrender"), but, as a good example, there's no "He's a Whore," which Cheap Trick probably figured their fans should already own.

Cheap Trick Combining a love for British guitar pop songcraft with crunching power chords and a flair for the absurd, Cheap Trick provided the necessary links between '60s pop, heavy metal, and punk. Their sound provided a blueprint for both power pop and arena rock; it also had a long-lived effect on both alternative and heavy metal bands of the '80s and '90s (and beyond), who often relied on the same combination of loud riffs and catchy melodies. The band's early albums were filled with highly melodic, well-written songs that drew equally from the crafted pop of the Beatles, the sonic assault of the Who, and the tongue-in-cheek musical eclecticism and humor of the Move.

The Essential Cheap Trick is the fourth compilation album by Cheap Trick, and part of Sony BMG's The Essential series. It contains at least one song from every album up to Special One (including Silver), except the commercial failure The Doctor. A reissue in 2010 described as version 3.0 added a 3rd disc with seven additional songs.

While the US punk scene was arguably always more diverse musically than that of the UK, the music evolved quickly, as evinced by the choices heard on Discs 4 and 5. Many of the acts here such as X, The Replacements, The Feelies, Redd Kross, The Dream Syndicate, The Gun Club and Minor Threat would make an even greater impact as the 1980s wore on. It's hard to overestimate the seismic shocks caused by the music on 'Blank Generation', not only on everything in alternative music which followed in North American, from the 80s hardcore scene and the music heard on the whole alternative college radio network through to grunge and beyond. And yet this era has never before been treated to a comprehensive retrospective of this kind.

UK three CD anthology from Edward Ball, a celebration of his work and the perfect introduction to Edward's world, from the teenage DIY punk and power pop of 'O'Level and Teenage Filmstars through the indie mod of The Times to Ball's years at the Creation label. 61 tracks, cherry picked from his wonderfully wide-ranging musical journey. Highlights include The Times' smashing 1981 debut single, 'Red With Purple Flashes', their 1982 fan favourite, 'I Helped Patrick McGoohan Escape' inspired by cult TV series The Prisoner, the irresistible 1996 solo near-hit, 'The Mill Hill Self Hate Club' and the full 10:35 version of Love Corporation's 'Give Me Some Love' with stunning production by Andy Weatherall from 1991. Plus a previously unreleased gem for the anthology, 'Song To The Lighthouse', an out- take from his soundtrack to the 2010 Carol Morley film The Edge. The Whaam! Label set up by Edward Ball with the Television Personalities' Dan Treacy and Ball's own Artpop! Label were a direct inspiration for Alan McGee to set up Creation Records who signed Edward in 1988. Brit Pop era solo albums saw Edward joined by musical friends such as Ride's Andy Bell, Nick Heyward and members of The Boo Radleys while Ball's dance and world music influenced project Love Corporation were remixed by Andy Weatherall, Danny Rampling and Monkey Mafia. Ball also resurrected The Times and Teenage Filmstars monikers at Creation, under the former name Ball melded indie and dance music before Primal Scream's 'Screamadelica', while, with the latter, he embraced psychedelic noise.

Mercy is a 1987 hard rock album by Steve Jones. It was the first solo album from Jones, a former member of the Sex Pistols. The single "Mercy" was used in a Miami Vice episode called "Stone's War" and was also featured on the Miami Vice II soundtrack album. The song "With You or Without You" was used in, and is on the soundtrack for, Jonathan Demme's 1986 film Something Wild. "Raining in My Heart" was originally recorded as "When Dreaming Fails", a 1985 demo with Iggy Pop which they recorded at Olivier Ferrand's home studio in Hancock Park, Los Angeles. Jones added new lyrics. For his solo debut, Jones chose a sparse arrangement and played most instruments himself. He partners with just two drummers and a keyboardist as he "gamely sing-speaks his way through".
