Tripping the Live Fantastic is Paul McCartney's first official live album and his first release of concert material since Wings' 1976 Wings over America live package. It was released in 1990 as triple LP, double cassette and double CD. Tripping the Live Fantastic reached number 17 in the UK and number 26 in the US. A document of the huge success of The Paul McCartney World Tour, Tripping the Live Fantastic encompasses McCartney's entire musical career from his famed Beatles hits to his recent hit album, Flowers in the Dirt, while also including some unique covers. Interspersed throughout the package are occasional soundcheck recordings as well. This album spawned a few singles which contained live B-sides from this tour. These B-sides were live songs that were not featured on the live album, which made the singles collectors items.

Metallica is one of the most important and most influential metal bands of all time, drafting the blueprint for thrash metal in their earliest days, then pushing the boundaries of mainstream metal and hard rock as they settled into their role as a popular legacy act as the decades went on. Between the meeting of raw energy and intricate speed metal compositions of their 1983 debut Kill 'Em All and the layered, radio-geared production of 1991's self-titled "black album," the band turned in classic album after classic album, each new chapter leading the development of metal on a global scale.

Bad for You Baby is a 2008 album by Northern Irish blues guitarist and singer-songwriter Gary Moore. It features a similar hard rock influenced sound in comparison to the artist's previous releases over the past several years before, with two songs best known for their Muddy Waters' done versions being covered by Moore. Featuring the singles "Stand" and "Orange Crush," 1988's Green was also their first album to be certified double platinum in the US and platinum in the UK. This 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition includes the remastered album, a 21-track bonus disc capturing a full live show from the 1989 Green Tour, plus 4 postcards, a foldout poster, and liner notes by Uncut's Allan Jones.

Evangeline’s 2010 collection, matter-of-factly titled The Collection, is a two-CD set that offers Walter Egan’s first four albums – 1977’s Fundamental Roll, 1978’s Not Shy (which had his big hit, “Magnet and Steel”), 1979’s Hi-Fi, and 1980’s The Last Stroll – all digitally remastered and enhanced by two bonus tracks, “Bad News Travels Fast” and an a cappella take on “Magnet & Steel.” For serious Egan fans, this is a tidy way to pick up all of his prime material in one set.

The Scorpions' third release, In Trance, continues to display their high-energy music, which is impossible to ignore. With the eyebrow-lifting "Dark Lady" as the opening track, the album immediately captures the listener's attention and keeps it all the way until the end. The interesting title track is clearly the best song of the album, but singles such as the fast-paced "Robot Man" and the hard-rocking "Top of the Bill" also stand out as highlights. Excellent singing and powerful music make this the best Scorpions recording working with Uli Jon Roth.

This double-CD set contains 60 television themes, at least a dozen of which will be familiar to many over the age of 40 or so – The Avengers, The Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, Dr. Who, Fireball XL5, The Saint, The Champions and The Naked City are just a few of those programs whose title themes are featured here. There are a few drawbacks, however – for starters, Sequel is a British label, its orientation is British television, and it is drawing the contents of these two CDs almost entirely from the vaults of the British Pye label, so there are at least 40 programs here that never (or barely) aired in the United States.

SUPERB MID 80s PERFORMANCE BY GENE CLARK BACKED BY COUNTRY-ROCK ROYALTY In the early 1980s, Gene Clark spent some time living in Hawaii attempting to get clean . Upon his return to the US he formed The Firebyrds, with whom he recorded one album, which came out in 1984. The release coincided with the emergence of jangle-rock , by the likes of R.E.M. and Tom Petty, who had sparked a renewed interest in the Byrds music. Clark now began developing new fans among LA's roots-conscious Paisley Underground scene. It was in the midst of such acclaim that Gene Clark, alongside The Band s Rick Danko and Richard Manuel, fellow ex-Byrds Michael Clark and John York, ex- Beach Boy Blondie Chaplin and the Flying Burrito Brothers Rick Roberts, came together as Gene Clark & Friends to perform what was to be a superb show at The Three T s - a small club in Evansville, Indiana - on 15th May 1985.

But Bach the human being, who makes me sing and dance – him I love.” This collection includes his complete performance of the orchestral suites and various sacred pieces from the motets and the cantatas.

On The Blue Room, her second Decca recording, Madeleine Peyroux and producer Larry Klein re-examine the influence of Ray Charles' revolutionary 1962 date, Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music. They don't try to re-create the album, but remake some of its songs and include others by composers whose work would benefit from the genre-blurring treatment Charles pioneered. Bassist David Pilch, drummer Jay Bellerose, guitarist Dean Parks, and pianist/organist Larry Goldings are the perfect collaborators. Most these ten tracks feature string arrangements by Vince Mendoza. Five tunes here are reinterpretations of Charles' from MSICAWM. "Take These Chains" commences as a sultry jazz tune, and in Peyroux's vocal, there is no supplication – only a demand. Parks' pedal steel moves between sounding like itself and a clarinet.

A series of Willie Nelson concept albums originally rejected by his record company forms the basis for a fascinating anthology. Willie Nelson: A Classic & Unreleased Collection includes Sugar Moon, an unreleased album of Western swing classics recorded with Merle Haggard's band, the Strangers; a would-be sequel, Willie Sings Hank Williams; the likewise unreleased Willie Nelson Live at the Texas Opry House; and unissued outtakes from various sessions, early songwriting demos, plus his very first single. First offered for sale in 1994 on the home-shopping channel QVC, an expanded, annotated version has finally been made available to retail outlets. The set brings to light a treasure trove of Nelson's unreleased work for Atlantic Records, to which Nelson was signed in 1972 by legendary R&B producer Jerry Wexler to launch a new country division.

Sweet Saint-Saëns and wicked Apollinaire may be empires apart, but their hilarious animal portraits in Le Carnaval des Animaux and Le Bestaire ooze the same satirical genius. Belgian composer Piet Swerts translated the evident musicality in the Bestiaire poems into real melodies, and he rearranged Le Carnaval for clarinet, strings and piano. The acclaimed Roeland Hendrikx Ensemble fuses both zoos in an unparalleled chamber-musical Animal Farm which showcases the grand façades but also the foibles of the normal, and not so normal creatures that populate it.

Vladimir Jurowski was the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Principal Conductor for 14 years from 2007–21, during which his creative energy and artistic rigour were central to the Orchestra’s success. This release captures three of his most memorable concerts with the Orchestra, tracing Stravinsky’s early creative journey from his youth amid the glittering fairytales of Imperial Russia through to those incredible moments in Paris when The Firebird and The Rite of Spring exploded in a blaze of rhythm and colour.

In the mid-1980s, the Swedish Dragon label came out with five LPs of music featuring the great Swedish baritonist Lars Gullin. The second volume, which has the earliest recordings in the batch, consists of performances that were either previously unreleased or quite obscure at the time. Gullin is heard in quartets and quintets, sometimes as a sideman, including a few very rare appearances on alto which, although worthy, show why he mostly stuck to baritone. The cool-toned bop, reminiscent but not derivative of Gerry Mulligan, should be of great interest to 1950s jazz collectors.
