Free as a bird comes the new Lemongrass album “Birdy”. A musical homage to the beauty of nature and positive light-heartedness. Roland Voss presents 10 chilled Lo-Fi tracks taking us to luscious, magical gardens, sacred places, blooming forests and spots of silence and peace.

Once again Roland Voss is demonstrating mastery at capturing the beauty in the scenes of everyday life. With an eclectic knack for a modern electronic sound design, a lush instrumentation spiced with fine acoustics, “Mirror Of Life” soars over vast and beautiful, mainly nature inspired soundscapes. Always on a mission to expand into the sonic universe of Downtempo, Electronica, Chillout and Ambient, Roland Voss has steadily pushed forward to reveal new dimensions beyond genre limitations.

A mosaic is a multifaceted pattern, assembled by arranging together small pieces of different types. To create a music album release named “Mosaic” follows pretty much the same principles. Snippets of sounds and creative ideas from various sources take form, in this case to a brandnew Lemongrass album. Roland Voss, mastermind behind the project, widely opened his (audio) diaries and selected some precious bits and pieces for his 34th longplayer.

The latest Lemongrass album release is dedicated to Advaita Vedānta – a spiritual pathway and the oldest extant tradition of the Hindu school Vedānta. Already since his youth, Roland Voss aka Lemongrass has been fascinated by the work of Patanjali, Shankara, Maharshi and Sri Aurobindo. To put his studies and enduring fascination into a musical form, had been a long held wish. The outcome is an inspiration, a masterpiece of East meets West. “Dreams Of Maya” features the finest of modern Downtempo Electronica, but tabla, sitar, flute and percussion got the lead.
