‘Gratitude' is a journeying record that documents Honza’s life experience so far - one marked by living in different countries and exploring an array of music cultures. With storytelling at its core, the album takes a cinematic approach, with powerful horn fanfares, deft string interludes and tender guitar passages that create a through-flowing listening experience. Drawing musical influences spanning from the chanting salsa melodies of Ezra Collective and arranging sensibilities of Snarky Puppy and Daniel Casimir, through to the rock-edged grit of Kneebody, it’s an album that encourages listeners to break away from tunnel vision, and instead embrace the vastness of possibility and different perspectives.

Live at Ornithology is Maya's third album and her first live album. In September 2023, at the Ornithology Jazz Club in Brooklyn NY on a rainy day, Maya's group recorded a live show of her original music, featuring the talented musicians consisting of Jonathan Reisin on saxophone, Simon Wilson on bass, Noah Franche-Nolan on piano and Maya on drums, vocals and compositions.

Aki is an emerging jazz collective led by drummer Anke Verslype. The core of the group consists of guitarist Willem Heylen, bassist Ruben De Maesschalck and harpist Marjolein Vernimmen. Tony is a jazz trumpeter and all around amazing musician. He is one of the most prolific creatives on the NY music scene right now, and besides being a world class trumpet player, he is a pianist, singer, songwriter, producer, and composer. His music is influenced by everyone from Stevie Wonder to Miles Davis.

On his new solo album, Drømmene (The Dreams), Henrik Pultz Melbye explores different places where dreams unfold, what emotions they evoke in us and what they remind us of. While dreams take place during our sleep, we often find ourselves daydreaming but often unconsciously, affecting our emotional state. This album serves as an output for all those intense emotions we experience.

Pat Thomas returns to OTOROKU for his fourth collection of solo piano improvisations, this time recorded in a studio setting at London’s Fish Factory.

This Friday Sept 6 we’re releasing a session we recorded named ‘Infrared’. This was a fully improvised recording of drums, sax and taishokoto in a studio wired with overwhelming reverb pumping back at us. The recording was also captured in a beautifully processed film shot by Lisa IndigoBurns Wormsley.

Danish jazz pianist Jacob Christoffersen unveils 'A Good Day', showcasing a seamless collaboration with fellow veterans Thomas Fonnesbaek on bass and Rasmus Kihlberg on drums. This recording marks a significant milestone in their collective careers, combining their individual expertise into a compelling musical narrative.
