Mike Stern is an American jazz guitarist. After playing with Blood, Sweat & Tears, he worked with drummer Billy Cobham, then with trumpeter Miles Davis from 1981 to 1983 and again in 1985. He then began a solo career, releasing more than a dozen albums. These Times was originally released in 2004 through ESC Records. The album reached a peak position of number eleven on Billboard's Top Jazz Albums chart.

Legendary jazz pianist Red Garland teams up with the perfect complementary rhythm section of Sam Jones on bass and drummer Roy Brooks on this 1971 recording, Garland's first recording after a nine year absence. Auf Wiedersehen features covers of tunes by Joe Henderson, Clifford Brown and Dizzy Gillespie along with originals such as the title track, a romantic ballad that has Garland saying a pianistic “goodbye” with a nod to Nat King Cole.

Philip Catherine is a Belgian jazz guitarist. He has been on the forefront of the European jazz scene since the sixties. His lond career includes work with many great artists like Chet Baker, Stéphane Grappelli, Charles Mingus, Dexter Gordon, Larry Coryell, Tom Harrell; his unique approach and sound, his dedication to music have been important and influential. "September Man" is his second solo album, released in 1974 via Atlantic label.

Jonny Teupen was one of the few who could make the harp swing. The late German musician, a classically trained harpist and composer who could play in an orchestra as well as any jazz band, enlisted top musicians from both jazz and rock to back him on this 1969 recording. The Günter Kallmann Choir, at the time internationally renowned, takes care of the nostalgic mood on Teupen’s relaxing “easy listening” compositions. What’s more, the nine-piece vocal group could come up with a swinging scat chorus. Teupen’s love for modern jazz is shown on the piece Harp Revolution; every member improvises over the theme and even dares venture into the realm of free jazz.

Lukáš Vondráček and Sergei Rachmaninov. Scarcely do we encounter a connection between a musician and a composer so close, strong and energising. When, at the age of 15, Vondráček was invited by Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Czech Philharmonic to perform Rachmaninov’s Concerto No. 1, he had garnered international acclaim at numerous concerts and competitions. Just a year later, the pianist toured the USA and appeared at Carnegie Hall. At the age of 29, he triumphed at the Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels (2016), performing Rachmaninov’s Concerto No. 3, conducted by Marin Alsop.

Harry Haag James (March 15, 1916 – July 5, 1983) was an American musician who is best known as a trumpet-playing band leader who led a big band from 1939 to 1946.

Deleted Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor is the debut album by Dutch singer Caro Emerald.
