According to WGSN trend reports, more and more people are creating and commissioning their own products, especially ones for their homes.
And one of the design trends for spring/summer 2017 is a small-scale repeat pattern in subdued hues, mostly muted pastels. Geometric blocked compositions are another trend this year.
I thought we’d combine these trends to create half-drop repeat pattern pillow covers using our own brushstrokes. We’ll use the transform options within Adobe Illustrator to create a motif from our brushstrokes. And I’ll show you two methods for creating the half-drop pattern where objects are placed halfway down vertically in relation to one another.
