Power Euchre Volume I is a detailed study of four, distinct euchre player types or archetypes based on modeling and statistical analysis. The study examines the fundamental aspects of offensive strategy for each of the player archetypes. This is done by looking through the lens of expected outcomes theory which identifies the mean scoring power or effectiveness of a player’s strategy over time.
Power Euchre Volume I breaks new ground analyzing the game of euchre through the use of statistical analysis and marketing research techniques routinely used by Fortune 100 companies. One of these techniques is the creation and use of player personas synthesized from over 350,000 hands played and analyzed during this five year study. Power Euchre Volume I presents four types of euchre player personas or archetypes including: (1) the Power Player; (2) the Solid Player; (3) the Aggressive Player; and (4) the Ultra-Aggressive Player. No previously published euchre book has provided the amount of hard, statistical data found in Power Euchre Volume I. A detailed explanation of each player archetype is provided showing the frequency that they name trump, win rate, mean hand strength when naming trump, how often they name trump from different seats at the table, mean expected outcome in points per hand, nets points scored per game, and percentage of time that they require their partner to assist by taking a meaningful trick.
Euchre players from multiple locations around the world participated in a euchre self-assessment research survey to determine their level of aggressiveness when naming trump. Real players that responded to this study name trump with frequencies that are absolutely in alignment with the computer model players used in the study. Therefore it is very reasonable to extrapolate that the tendencies and strategies presented for the modeled players in Power Euchre Volume I are likely to be very similar to real players.
Power Euchre is intended for experienced euchre players who would like to increase their knowledge of the underlying mathematics of success for euchre and take their game to new levels of success and enjoyment.
