Pierre Durois is a bumbling school teacher with an eye for the older female students; his father is a reputable surgeon who is running for Mayor. There's a film shooting crew in town and the paparazzi are around too. Zaney antics follow with typical French coincidences to heighten the comic elements.
Professeur de mathématiques dans un lycée de jeunes filles, Pierre Durois est contraint de bâcler ses cours pour honorer les engagements qu'il prend par ailleurs. Sollicité par son père, célèbre chirurgien et maire de la ville, forcé par un austère proviseur et imploré par un ami journaliste, Pierre, dans sa classe, doit écrire les discours électoraux de la future campagne, corriger les copies d'un collègue malade et, enfin, rédiger un article à sensation à partir de clichés scandaleux, sur la présence en ville de la star Jackie Logan…

The cast is terrific in this unpretentious little comedy.Pierre Richard is certainly very funny in his part of a scatterbrained maths teacher.But his two co-stars almost steal the show from him.An excellent Claude Piéplu -and his inimitable high-pitched voice- plays his father ,a very very serious father,in direct contrast to the gentle self-conscious guy.He has big ambitions as a local politician. Jane Birkin is equally good and she proves that a good -looking girl is not necessarily a bimbo:my favorite scene is the one when Birkin asks Richard to prove he is really a maths teacher.She puts him to the test and he has to recite ….the identities!
