A student falls in love with a young "pictorial" woman. They exchange ideas about art, paintings and sculptures and… the curve of her back.
Under the stamp (and technical advise) of Rohmer, "La Cambrure" (The Curve), a short film shot in video, is a production of the Eric Rohmer Company and Edwige Shaki who also wrote the scenario. Éric Rohmer was a technical advisor and editor for the movie. Despite being directed by Shaki, some of Rohmer's trademarks, extensive dialog and beautiful young actors, including Shaki herself, are present. Edwige Shaki later was an actress in the Rohmer film "The Lady and the Duke".
Un jeune étudiant en Histoire de l'Art rencontre une jeune femme qu'il croit être le modèle de son oncle sculpteur. Il en tombe amoureux, mais lui révèle que finalement, il aime en elle essentiellement des détails qu'il retrouve chez les grandes œuvres de maîtres… notamment la cambrure de ses reins.
