I just saw this last night at Worldfest Houston. It was an interesting premise and put together like no other movie I have ever seen. It is definitely a quality independent film and proves once again that you don't need a studio or a huge budget to make a good flick. The writer/director and many of the actors were at the showing and did an extended Q&A after the feature. He said they rehearsed extensively and shot the film in 17 hours. They shot eight 11-minute long scenes with 4 cameras and the actors used lines or actions as cues throughout. The actors likened the production to their previous stage experience. Check it out if you get the opportunity!

What a remarkable film! Every frame of '11 Minutes Ago' brims with plot details that make the movie more and more rewarding upon each viewing. Even after only a single viewing, I was blown away that this feature film was shot in one day. The acting shines, the story captures you, and the science fiction concept of the whole thing blows you away. A new cult classic is born!

This movie is a classic “boy meets girl, falls for girl, tries to get girl” movie with a very unique twist to it. The cinematography was very well done to the point that I was suprised to learn that it was all shot in one day and with a very limited budget!!

While the movie does start slow, it picks up the momentum to the point that one needs to finish it in order to have that sense of completion and understanding. You very quickly come to see things from the main character’s point of view and find yourself routing for him and hoping he makes the decision that we all want him to make! Will he leave his “future” to stay in this time frame to be with this girl? The ending credits give you more to the story in case you weren’t able to get it during the film.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the film. While it was very intriguing, it took a little time to get going and keep my attention. Once it did….the character’s interactions and involvment were of such that I was entranced with them and obsessed with knowing how it all played out.
