L'improvvisa morte della moglie ed uno scandalo finanziario che lo riduce quasi in rovina, cambieranno drasticamente la vita di Federico Picchioni. Non potendo più permettersi di pagare l’affitto ai figli, e' costretto a farli andare a vivere a casa sua.
