Sikil tells the story of two men and a woman who are involved in a bizarre love triangle. These three friends grew up in a small town south of Manila. Enzo is a young closet gay prostitute who's obsessed with his childhood friend who happens to be a call-boy and has a girlfriend. Other interesting characters are the bi-sexual pimp, a regular bathhouse customer, and a sampaguita vendor-pickpocket-shoplifter and caretaker of Adong's daughter.

Sikil is a gay-themed Filipino film that deals with topics such as bisexuality, love triangles, wild and untamed passion, and finding oneself.
The film tells the story of two boys who become friends in a small rural town and find themselves prostitutes in Manila. The water, symbol of life force, accompanies the protagonists of the film, from that which is sprayed to the religious parties, which filters the dirty streets of the slums of Manila, vaporous water saunas where kids make trade of their bodies , the water of the rain almost always present and that bathes their beautiful bodies, often shown naked.
The young Enzo, played by the attractive Ken Escudero, is a close friend of the athletic Adong (Wil Sandejas). Their relationship has lasted a lifetime and breaks when Adong runs away with Melay (Ashley Silverio), leaving only Enzo, on the bank of the river that saw them together many times, broken-hearted. Still they find themselves and will have sex for the first time in front of a paying audience, during a show that sees them together involuntarily. What will happen now that the veils have fallen?
Unspoken Passion is a work that will look familiar to fans of Filipino film, with the flamboyant older man who hires out the hunky younger "dancers," some of whom actually are straight and the rest who pretend. Unfortunately for those not already fans of the genre, Passion is mired in its conventions and clichés. The film spent entirely too long setting up the story — yes, okay, we get it already, the boy's father was a mean s.o.b.; can we please move on now? — before settling into the present. So much so, in fact, that I left before the sex scenes, which I'm sure were really steamy. Recommended if you're just looking for skin (especially if you can fast-forward through some of the setup), highly recommended if you're a devotée of "macho dancer" stories, but otherwise not recommended.
