Set sail on the world's mightiest ships as they embark on some of the most challenging, dangerous jobs a working boat will ever face. These marvels of marine technology are built for anything the heavens and oceans can dole out, and the dedicated men and women who work aboard these ships are equally battle-tested. From a dredger deepening a massive harbor to the construction and maiden voyage of a luxury mega cruiser, experience it all firsthand on this first-rate, high seas adventure.
Part 1: Norwegian Breakaway - The Build
Three times the size of the Titanic, the mega cruise ship Norwegian Breakaway is the largest vessel ever to call New York City home. And the challenges involved in her construction were equally massive. Go behind the scenes for a rare, exclusive look at the building of this Mighty Ship, as Germany's Meyer-Werft Shipyard takes on their biggest and fastest build ever. With only 18 months to complete the job, and ticket sales for the maiden voyage already going fast, the high-stakes race is on for Breakaway to sail into ship-building history.

Part 2: Norwegian Breakaway -The Voyage
More than a luxury hotel at sea, Norwegian Breakaway is a floating city, with a whopping 29 restaurants, 22 bars and lounges, a Vegas-style casino, and a full-scale theatre bigger than some Broadway venues. She was built faster than any other cruise ship in history, and she's about to cast off on her first journey straight into a North Atlantic tempest. Hop aboard this mega cruiser on her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York, the same route Titanic sailed in 1912, only with much worse weather.

Part 3: Stemat Spirit
Stemat Spirit is an amphibious Mighty Ship, able to do the work of two cable layers, on land and at sea. Her current mission is connecting a wind farm in the Irish Sea to a town in North West England, but it's proving to be a treacherous one. These waters may be a perfect place to operate a wind farm, but completing the job will mean battling high seas, ferocious winds, and potentially damaged equipment. Join the multi-million-dollar operation as this "rule-breaking" Mighty Ship does the job no other ship can.

Part 4: IBN Buttuta
Super dredger Ibn Battuta isn't afraid to get her hands dirty, and neither is her international team of 50 dedicated crewmembers. Their mission: to make a deep Vietnamese harbor even deeper to accommodate bigger ships and, in turn, build a better economy. Battuta has the sheer muscle power to cut through whatever comes her way. But mechanical setbacks, oncoming typhoons, and a field of bombs buried in the seafloor will make this the toughest job she, or any other cutter suction dredger, has ever taken on.

Part 5: Wind Surf
Wind Star Cruises promises the adventure of a lifetime to all who cast off aboard its luxury yacht Wind Surf. She's the largest sailing ship in the cruise world, but her passenger capacity is relatively small, with room for just 300. For this eight-day voyage, Mighty Ships has added you to the guest list as this nautical marvel travels down Venice's Grand Canal and into the Adriatic Sea. A faulty bow thruster and a brewing storm could mean a rough ride, but the captain and crew are determined to make this a smooth sail for everyone.

Part 6: Best of Mighty Ships
Some are built for business. Some are built to party. Still others are built for war. All of them are built to be the best of the best; able to take on the heaviest, biggest, and deepest jobs the sea has to offer. This special episode revisits the most memorable characters and moments from our many voyages over the past seasons of "Mighty Ships." From the high north to the South Pole and across every ocean, this action-packed, eye-popping look at life on the high seas is a celebration of the vessels that dazzle, deliver, protect, and inspire.
