Anhinga Pond, Everglades National Park, Florida — Early sunlight floods down a winding Florida slough, leading to a deep gator hole of water. It's the dry season in the Everglades. Because of this seasonal lack of water, wildlife has concentrated itself. Within a scant 20-yard radius we see and hear several American alligators, snowy egrets, a couple of wood storks, and some noisy ravens. To an observer, everything appears harmonious during this hour of greeting the sun, even the age-wizened alligator that approaches within a few feet of the HD cameras.
