Tessa Dunlop and Neil Oliver present the ultimate guide to the British coast.
Part 1: Cornwall
Tessa Dunlop and Neil Oliver present the ultimate guide to the Cornish coast, from the River Tamar to Tintagel Castle, as they discover what makes the stretch so unique. As well as selecting some of the best Coast stories from the past 10 years, Tessa takes a ride on a variety of boats to learn the untold secrets of the Cornish shores. The presenters go line fishing with a local Looe fisherman, explore serpentine rock on The Lizard with a leading geologist, uncover a story of tragedy at sea, and find out what it is like to live in the storm-hit harbour of Porthleven.

Part 2: Southern Wales
Tessa and Neil Oliver present an insider guide to Southern Wales, from the Severn Bridge to St Davids, as they unearth the coast's wild appeal. Tessa builds on 10 years of Coast stories from the area as she seeks new tales and extreme experiences for the guide, including coastal rowing, exploring why Gower was made Britain's first area of outstanding natural beauty, kayaking at Worm's head, and cockle picking at Penclawdd.

Part 3: England's South East
Tessa Dunlop hitches a ride with the Thames river police to the new London Gateway, where she gets an overview of Britain's trade with the world from the vantage point of a giant crane. From Ramsgate, Kent, she embarks on one of the Dunkirk `little ships' to discover the vital role it played during the Second World War, before making her way to Dover where she finds a magnificent Roman lighthouse that has guarded the shores for centuries. Plus, Neil Oliver reveals the stories of trade and defence that characterise England's south east coast.

Part 4: East Anglia

Neil Oliver and Tessa Dunlop present an exhaustive guide to East Anglia, from the Wash to Canvey Island. Neil takes to the seas to record new stories, and revisits some of the best Coast features from the past 10 years as he visits England's biggest grey seal colony, and witnesses extreme erosion at Happisburgh. He also takes a trip on board a floating relic of the herring-fishing industry, and finishes his exploration at Orford Ness, where one of the region's most distinctive landmarks is at risk of becoming a victim of the constant battle between land and sea.

Part 5: Our North Sea Coast

Neil and Tessa continue their comprehensive guide to Britain's coastline, this time turning attention to the North Sea coast, a stretch that takes in two nations, and is bordered by a pair of huge estuaries, the Forth in Scotland, and the Humber in England. Neil sheds light on a military shipbuilding project in Rosyth, and heads to the island of Inchmickery to investigate a bird colony with a difference. From there, he tells a tragic story that still haunts the fishing village of Eyemouth, and then visits the holy island of Lindisfarne to make a dramatic archeological discovery.

Part 6: Scotland's Western Isles
Neil and Tessa continue their comprehensive insider's guide to Britain's coastlines, this time journeying through Scotland's Western Isles, exploring an array of different coastlines and islands. Neil sets off on an island-hopping adventure visiting Mull, Staffa and Gometra, while sampling local delicacies and trying his hand at crab fishing, before meeting a resident on one of the most remote islands in Scotland.

Part 7: The Heart of England's South Coast
Neil Oliver and Tessa Dunlop present a guide to England's South Coast from Brighton to Chesil, revealing what makes these two pebble beaches special. Neil also takes a trip on a flotilla of boats that includes a prototype yacht being prepared for the America's Cup, a vessel designed to help save the Solent oyster population and an offshore powerboat. Plus, a round-up of the best Coast stories from the past 10 years.

Part 8: Our Irish Sea Coast
Tessa and Neil explore the Irish Sea shoreline that fringes the coasts of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Tessa goes in search of new experiences and tales from these shores, hitching a ride on a Liverpool tug-boat, crossing the Irish Sea on a luxury cruise liner, and seeking out a surviving sister ship of the Titanic.
