The history of commits
Tower offers two different ways to view the history of commits: «Recent Commits» - an overview of the most recent activity in the repository; «Lists» - classic table view: just select a commit from the list to see all the important information. Integrated view allows you to quickly understand the difference that has changed.

Work with status
View «Status» will quickly show you which files you have changed - and how you have changed. Git uses a unique concept «Staging Area» to select what should get into the commit, and what is not. With the Tower you can easily restore previous versions of files and decide to merge conflicts have arisen.

File history
Choosing «Browse» you can view files and their contents. Select the file and click the button «File History», to see the change history of the selected file or use the views «Blame» to view interlaced file changes.

Working with branches, tags and remote repositories
Branching is an important feature of Git. Therefore, working with branches at Tower is very easy - just use the drag and drop! No matter whether you want to merge two branches, retrieve data from remote repositories, or create a new branch on the basis of the existing one.
