Speed matters
Windographer quickly imports data from almost any format and automatically determines the data structure. So you can get straight to analyzing your data, rather than spending your time specifying details such as the time step or the date format.

Highly flexible
Windographer can handle any number of wind speed and direction sensors at any heights above ground, and any number of gaps or missing values. It can accept any time step between one minute and six hours. It can import up to 20 MB of data.

Import all kinds of data
Windographer imports data from met towers, SoDAR profilers, and LiDAR units. It reliably reads data files written by data loggers from NRG Systems, SecondWind, Campbell Scientific, Atmospheric Systems Corp, and the ZephIR, among others.

Add data in a snap
You can append rows of data as they become available, and even append columns to combine data sets.

Intelligent data import
When importing data files, Windographer automatically identifies which columns contain wind speed, standard deviation, direction, temperature, and pressure data. It also automatically identifies measurement heights, and assigns meaningful names and colors to each data column. You can confirm or modify any of its decisions.

Automatically transforms data into information
Windographer’s main window presents a graphical snapshot of the key properties of the data set, and automatically calculates and classifies the wind power density and wind shear for the site.

Windographer calculates so you can analyze
Windographer calculates the air density, wind power density, turbulence intensity, power law exponent, and surface roughness for every time step, and lets you visualize and analyze those data in many graphical formats.
