MediaChance MultiMonitor TaskBar Pro v3.0

MediaChance MultiMonitor TaskBar Pro v3.0 | 5.05 MB

The real multi-monitor support in Windows has task-bar only in the primary monitor. The extended monitors are plain "takbarless". There is no other way to add another taskbar to the extended monitor. So I created my MultiMon taskbar. A secondary taskbar which will be put on extended monitors.

What you need for Multiple Monitor support
You need a good multi-monitor video card such as Matrox DualHead, ATI Radeon with dual monitor or NVidia with dual monitor.
And then you need two monitors and operating system such as Win XP or Vista which has multimonitor support.Other alternative is to use your AGP video card as primary monitor and then add second PCI card as second monitor. (An on-board AGP video can't be used with another AGP)
For three monitors you can use dual AGP video card and another PCI video card. Then on the Display Properties, select the additional monitor(s) and check "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this monitor".

Three monitors:
In my own setup Monitor 1 is PCI Radeon 7000, Monitor 2 and 3 are both served by single Radeon 9600.

MultiMon Task bar
The real multi-monitor support in Windows has task-bar only in the primary monitor. The extended monitors are plain "takbarless". There is no other way to add another taskbar to the extended monitor. So I created my MultiMon taskbar. A secondary taskbar which will be put on extended monitors.

MultiArrows
This is a modification of the above taskbar without the taskbar… Only arrows will be displayed on the title bar of the application and you can use them to move the windows to side monitors - but no additional taskbar (or anything else) will be created for the extra monitors. Download it here. This has no installation, just unzip it anywhere and run it (eventually add shortcut to Start up). Obviously you don't want to run this and the mmtaskabar at the same time.

Create Multi-Computer environment
Combine two or more computers into one integrated computer system.

TaskBar PRO
Additionally to the free version:

* Support for Windows XP, Media Center (Royale on XP) and Vista (Royale Noir) themes
* Add buttons to resize window across two or three monitors (good for spreadsheets etc..)
* Move To Monitor buttons on the extended taskbar can move even special windows like Remote Desktop Client
* Better handling moving windows across screens with different resolutions
* Monitors Remote Desktop and can Suspend itself when you are in RD session, then restore itself after RD session is finished
* Support for dual monitors if the primary monitor is on right
* Themed Caption (arrow) buttons on Themed XP
* More consistent behavior of taskbar - cliciking on selected item will now minimize its window, like with original windows taskbar

Resize across monitors (PRO version)
Many programs, like spreadsheets, text editors, graphic programs have a MDI interface which means all client windows can be positioned only within the main program window. You can't display documents in single application side by side on different monitors because you are still limited within the main application window:
Taskbar PRO has simple buttons to resize the main window across two or even three monitors and you can then simply move the documents around side by side.
Think about how MultiMonitor Taskbar can increase your productivity many times!
