Delcam FeatureCam 2012 R2 SP1 32bit & 64bit | 592.1 mb & 661.2 mb

FeatureCAM, developed by Delcam, is a suite of CAD/CAM software which combines cutting edge technology with ease of use, automates machining and minimizes programming times for parts on mills, lathes and wire EDM.

Delcam's History

In 1965 Donald Welbourn, Director in Industrial Co-operation at Cambridge University, had the vision to see the possibility of using computers to assist pattern makers to solve the problems of modeling difficult 3D shapes.

Today we take for granted 3D modeling, in 1965 only crude 2D drawing systems were available using terminals linked to large main frame computers.

Initial work was sponsored by the Science Research Council but finding money to support the development was a constant problem for Donald Welbourn. In 1973 Donald persuaded his friend Lord Caldecote, then chairman of the Delta Metal Group and an ex-Cambridge engineer, to send Delta graduate engineer Ed Lambourne to work on the development of DUCT at Cambridge University Engineering Department, ultimately leading to transferal of the system into industry. In 1974 Donald also obtained sponsorship from Control Data in Europe in the form of access to their powerful time-sharing computing resources. Control Data offered DUCT initially on its time-sharing bureau service, especially to two of its largest German customers Volkswagen and Daimler Benz…..

About FeatureCAM

FeatureCAM is an easy-to-use CAM system that is so intuitive that even a novice or occassional user can quickly create reliable and consistent toolpaths. The user-friendly automation inside the software ensures training costs are minimized, increasing the return on your investment quickly. You can create toolpaths directly from solids using FeatureRECOGNITION. All your machines can be programmed within a single user interface specifically designed to achieve shorter programming times by Featurebased operations.

User Interface: Chinese DLL: 'Pack file' option name is not changed to Chinese name even if the installation done as Chinese language.
Installation: Please install/copy RegAsm32.exe to FeatureCamToVericut and FeatureCAMToNCSIMUL Addins folders when installing 32-bit FeatureCAM.
API: Need ability to extract/get list/collection of geometries (args, points or lines) constructing all Turning tools.
API Help: help page: There are 2 Reference items in the Contents tab of API Help. It looks like they are identical so one of these items should be removed from Contents tab.
User interface: Add Help IDs for WireEDM features
API: Stock.ExportToSTL doesn't work on a round stocks in turn/mill parts.
API: Need to be able to Get/Set value of "Turning Input Modes". The options are XYZ, Diameter, Radius.
Multiple fixture: feed speed in tool properties doesn't follow in a multiple fixture project.
2-axis milling: missing side feature (counterbore) because of inaccurate stock outline.
User interface: Warning dialog pops up behind the SolidWorks interface which causes SolidWorks to appear to be locked up.
Xbuild: Left boundary doesn't work if "Used canned cycle" is checked on.
Turn: XBuild: <TAPER-DEPTH> is not being calculated correctly. FC is using the ends of the simulation scan lines as the end of the thread instead of the Z value output in the NC code for the calculation of taper depth. As the angle of the thread becomes steeper the error is greater.
Uninstall: Uninstalling FC using the Add/Remove programs leaves behind a FeatureCAM entry in the list even though FC was already removed.
FC-PMP: Clicking 'Edit' when choosing a pmpost file does not open the pmpost editor
FC-PMP: User interface: We should add type file filter for pmopt (pmoptz) files to post file selection dialog in DFS.
FC-PMP: If we use PM-Post postprocessor in DFS then button "NC file" in Results area of Delcam for SolidWorks right insert doesn't work.
4-axis milling: wrap: weird toolpath if feature with NT spiral wrapped.
Network Database: FC crashes when adding a new tool to the network database using the API.
install: remove uninstall command from programs menu.
API: The attribute eAID_PartLineProgram returns 0 when the corresponding checkbox in the UI is checked and 1 otherwise. It should be the other way around.
Dongle: need FC to support new pafwizard 4.3.40 to be installed with FC as well.
MTT: Option for setting horizontal lower turret sometimes does not generate correct toolpaths or gives error that cutting cannot be done in this direction.
User Interface: Pattern feature options grayed out after creation of first one
2-axis milling: Feed rate for first move of a tool not being output if last operation used the same feed rate.
Tooling: Sometimes featurecam sticks a <filename>_tools_from_last_saved in your list of possible tool cribs which cant be deleted via tool manager
Help: API: On page "FeatureCAM API Examples" example "Working with Colors" is listed twice - in Simple and Intermediate examples sections… It should only be Simple Examples section
Turn: cutgrip: cut grip feature offseted when we set NE tool.
Turn/Mill: extra spot-drill cycle being output using pattern.
Turn/Mill: Upper turret B axis angles in NC code are incorrect on second setup.
User interface: "Create new item" button on "Feed/Speed" page of Tool properties dialog looks disabled.
Turn: taper thread: bad rapid move gouges the part with some cnc files.
2-axis milling: face: cut direction changes from V16 to V17.
User interface: In Options dialog's Milling properties, turning on the 'Cutter comp' check-box doesn't un-grey the 'Part line program' check-box.
Turn: Turn/milling with a metric tool in an inch document, makes for odd toolpaths.
Import: When going thru the import wizard with an STL_blob, we call ::map_tran_obj 4 times (making 4 copies). which are all deleted, but we should just have 1 'thing' that we mangle/xform thru the import wizard.
64-bit: fcdatacom: turn off "switch-to / retry" on fcdatacom.
Machine sim: Turnmill main spindle won't rotate in C if the solid that has the C rotation is not the top-most table
Vericut: Request to support new facemill properties.
TPEDIT: delete: desire connect with retraction for multiple passes.
tpedit: refresh problem after doing a delete.
tpedit: the delete operation is delete one point to many, causing the deleted edge to be ragged.
3d sim: lathe tool b-angle is incorrect in 3d sim. centerline and machine sim are ok.
3d sim: turn problem with bore roughing: tool is upside down
Turn: tool selection: insert seems to be far away from the holder.
3d sim: 3D simulation on this turned part does not match the centerline simulation.
User interface: Feature properties bitmap appears to be overlapping text widgets.
InitDB: crash updating network database to new schema
Turn: Setup: Incomplete toolpath is generated if stock is set in setup.
Network database: adding solid model as a tool holder causing crash.
2-axis milling: NT: Non-block stock or stock curve doesn't work correctly for boss feature with NT stepover type (DMK style).
Simulation: 3D simulation continuously displayed between setups without using generate a single program set does not work if you choose the other setup from the Part View. It does work if you change setups from the status bar.
2 axis turn: Post omits pass through barfeed format if pull amount =0.
AFR: local offset: pattern: The local offset option should be off by default if in a previous file you set local offset the next time you use AFR for a hole pattern it defaults to local offset and the pattern is created off the feature or somewhere other than where it should be.
