VITOUS - Symphonic Orchestra Samples - Solo Instruments 1

VITOUS - Symphonic Orchestra Samples - Solo Instruments 1 | 408 mb
This disc contains Bassclarinet, Bassoon, Basstrombone, Clarinet, Contrabassoon, Trombone, Trumpet, Viola, and Violoncello. All in the highest quality, and very expressive. This is the first of two Solo Instrument disks, which are a must for anyone wishing to emulate orchestral solo performance.

We are well aware of the fact that it is impossible to completely replace a live symphony orchestra with digital samples. It was not our goal to do so - there are simply too many nuances, expressive idiosyncrasies, and contextual factors. Nonetheless, the results of our sampling labors offer extremely realistic sounds suitable for professional projects, including, for example, the recording of a classical CD from the standard repertoire. We believe that these samples are the most realistic known to date.
While we worked on producing the SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA SAMPLES library, we often found it to be, in many respects, more capable than an actual symphonic orchestra such as those we have come to know from symphony halls. This is not merely due to the exceptional clarity, quality, and exactness of such essentials as intonation and attacks, but also to the discovery of new unusual orchestration combinations made possible by the library. Who would think of music for 40 cellos, or letting the violas play all the the violin parts to achieve a richer tone, or the incredible color of three unison bassoons playing a melody intended for the trumpets. A myriad of ideas will occur to you while you compose with this sound material - samples that make it possible to realize practically anything you can imagine.
These samples are an instrument in themselves and like any instrument, they should be learned and cherished. It is advisable to study each patch individually to find its unique strengths just as you would if you were composing with a particular instrumentalist in mind. Later on, when you are using this virtual virtuoso in combination with other patches, you may want to focus on just those strengths and bring in another patch for those few notes which might happen to be its strongest area, just as you would give all the high F's to the trumpet player with the best upper register in a trumpet ensemble. By studying the patches you will quickly come to know which "player" to use and where. We have all learned a vast amount about their capabilities just by playing and listening to the instruments.
Unlocking the door to musical imagination requires a key made of powerful sounds. We believe that you will fall in love with these instruments. It was these masters of technique and expression that we sampled and we owe our success to them above all.

The MIROSLAV VITOUS SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA SAMPLES are a wonderful tool for young composers. Students can learn a good deal about each instrument by hearing it in its most realistic setting. The pedagogical benefits of having their compositions played without having to wait for years are unquestionable. Therefore, these samples would be ideal for institutions of music learning with a MIDI facility that includes samplers.
We have worked long and hard to provide you with this final product. This means that when you purchase these symphonic sounds, you will not have to do so ever again. Imagine - no updates, no new model next year, no service, only more sounds with the same impeccable standards in the future to add to this initial release and finally complete the whole spectrum.
