Rusconi + Fred Frith - Live in Europe (2016)

Thrilling cooperation between the Swiss jazz band RUSCONI and the British avantgarde guitar player FRED FRITH (Ex.Henry Cow). RUSCONI is a young trio (Stefan Rusconi -Piano, Claudio Strübly-Drums, Fabian Gisler-Bass) from switzerland playing a very modern and contemporary version of jazz. Their unique style and way of interpretation gave them a large, very young audience. Their biggest success was the album "It is A Sonic Life", with re-interpreted songs of Sonic Youth. The new (live) album followed a cooperation between Rusconi and guitar player FRED FRITH. The musicians met a few years ago and FRITH also contributed parts to one older album of RUSCONI. Both agreed to play complete shows together . This happened between 2012 and 2014 and two of the recordings are now pressed on CD and LP. The A-Side contains an audio recoding from the show in Zürich, B-Side a recording from the show in Hamburg.
