Rapid City Muscle Car is the second studio album by American band the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, released in 1994 on Space Age Bachelor Pad Records. Rapid City Muscle Car was structured around the Daddies' desire to create a stylistic concept album in which each track was composed as the total musical opposite of the last - "[whipping] the listener around as if he/she was...experiencing stylistic G-forces" - but remaining thematically coherent through interconnected lyricism following an abstract narrative. Delving into wider-reaching and more experimental territory than their punk rock roots, the result is arguably the Daddies' most musically eclectic work. Building upon the band's then-standard repertoire of swing and funk, Rapid City Muscle Car weaves between ska punk, rockabilly, country, psychedelia, big band and lounge...

The Uprising Tour ran in Europe from May 30th to July 13th 1980 with five further dates in the USA in September. It was Bob Marley s last tour before his tragically early death in May 1981 at the age of just 36. The tour was in support of the Uprising album released on June 10th 1980. A few days later on June 13th the live show from Dortmund s Westfalenhalle was filmed for the famous German music TV series Rockpalast and is presented here on DVD and CD for the first time with footage restored to the best possible quality. Bob Marley and the Wailers are on superb form and deliver a set of hit singles and classic album tracks. Marley s energetic, charismatic performance gives no indication that he was already ill with the cancer that would take his life less than a year later.

Zoot Suit Riot: The Swingin' Hits of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies is a compilation album and fourth album overall by American ska-swing band the Cherry Poppin' Daddies, released on March 18, 1997 on Space Age Bachelor Pad Records. The album is a collection of all of the swing-styled songs culled from the Daddies' first three ska punk-oriented albums, plus four bonus tracks recorded exclusively for this release. By early 1998, regular radio airplay of the album's eponymous single helped propel Zoot Suit Riot to the top of Billboard's Top Heatseekers, eventually becoming the first "new swing" album to enter the Billboard Top 40 and serving as the catalyst for the short-lived swing revival of the late 1990s. While both the Daddies' and the swing revival's mainstream popularity would wane by the end of 1998, at its peak, Zoot Suit Riot reached number 17 on the Billboard 200, selling over two million copies in the United States and achieving gold record sales in several other countries.

Bob Marley And The Wailers - Soul Rebels (1970)
Reggae | 1cd | EAC Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | covers
JAD 0602498667446 | rem: 2004 | 190Mb

Originally issued in 1970, Soul Rebels was the first album credited to Bob Marley & the Wailers, and it was also the band's first full-length collaboration with producer Lee "Scratch" Perry, for whom they had already recorded a string of fairly successful singles. Working with the newly configured Upsetters band, Marley and crew delivered a strange and wonderful set of early reggae that at times plays fast and loose with the already established conventions of the genre -- on "My Cup" the beat sounds inside out, while "It's Alright" sounds like a slightly Jamaicanized version of Motown soul.

Pop/Rock, Singer/Songwriter, AC, Reggae | EAC Rip | FLAC, Tracks+CUE + LOG + Full Scans-300dpi (JPEG) | 39:20 Min | 244,58 Mb
Label: Warner Bros. Records (USA) | Released: 1990, April, 9

Hello Big Man is singer-songwriter Carly Simon's eleventh studio album (twelfth overall), released in 1983. It is also her last album for Warner Bros. Records (and for what became the Warner Music Group, having also spent time with Elektra Records), as it was a failure commercially despite some reasonable critical reviews. The album featured Sly Dunbar and Robbie Shakespeare on a number of tracks, including one Bob Marley cover. The title of the album is an allude to the reply that Simon's mother, Andrea Simon, gave to her father, Richard Simon, when they first met. He said "hello little woman", and she replied "hello big man".

The Gov't Mule live archival series, which began in 2014 with Dark Side of the Mule and continued with Sco-Mule, continues with this document from the band's 2006 New Year's Eve Beacon Theater show. This is the "standard version" (among several) of Dub Side of the Mule from the middle of a three-set evening. It's the reggae set with the legendary Toots Hibbert fronting the band on all but the last track. He is in excellent voice throughout, living up to his reputation as one of the greatest reggae singers of all time. For this evening, Gov't Mule comprised original members Warren Haynes on guitars and vocals and Matt Abts on drums, with Danny Louis on keyboards, Andy Hess on bass, and percussionist Sean Pelton.

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Live At The Roxy (2003)
Reggae | 2cd | EAC Rip | Wv + Cue + Log | covers
Island/Tuff Gong, 0602498010419 | rec: 1976 | 595Mb

Bob Marley and the Wailers were on tour promoting their newly released album, Rastaman Vibration, when they arrived at the Roxy nightclub in Hollywood, CA, for a performance on May 26, 1976. At the height of their early American fame -- Rastaman Vibration would become their only Top Ten album in the U.S. -- they were also a seasoned concert act. They played the same songs featured on their compelling album Live! (a U.K. hit not yet released in America at that time), plus songs from their new record, before a small audience that combined acolytes with industry figures.

Bob Marley & The Wailers - Burnin' (1973) (Deluxe Edition)
Reggae | 2cd | EAC Rip | Flac + Cue + Log | covers
Island, 0602498233375 | rem: 2004 | 950Mb

Burnin', the Wailers' fourth album overall, was their second for Island Records, released only six months after its predecessor, Catch a Fire. Given that speed, it's not surprising that several tracks -- "Put It On," "Small Axe," and "Duppy Conqueror" -- are re-recordings of songs dating back a few years. But they fit in seamlessly with the newer material, matching its religious militancy and anthemic style. The confrontational nature of the group's message is apparent immediately in the opening track, "Get Up, Stand Up," as stirring a song as any that emerged from the American civil rights movement a decade before.

Robert Palmer - Band In Boston (1979)

Robert Palmer - Band In Boston (1979)
MP3 CBR 320kbps | RAR | 113mb
Genre: pop, soul, reggae, ska, rock

Band In Boston is a promotional live album by Robert Palmer that was released as part of the Warner Bros. Music Show promo series in 1979, which was serviced only to American radio stations. Palmer does some of his hits up to that point, including "Every Kinda People", a cover of Toots & The Maytals' "Pressure Drop", "Sneakin' Sally Through The Alley", and "Bad Case Of Loving You (Doctor, Doctor)". Highlight includes a cover of The Pretenders' "Kid", done a year before most Americans heard of the song or The Pretenders. This is not my own rip but was found on another blog and is being used here with permission from the blog. Thank you to the original uploader.
