Katia Cardenas - I'll Be Seeing You (2016)

Katia Cardenas is a jazz and R&B vocalist in the Twin Cities who is involved in a variety of musical pursuits. While she has been performing since an early age, she emerged on the scene just two years ago. Referred to as "the fastest rising star on the Twin Cities jazz scene", she has quickly risen to prominence, performing at numerous local venues, including The Dakota, Jazz Central Studios, Mattie's on Main, Hell's Kitchen, Bedlam Lowertown, and St. Paul Saint's games at CHS Field. She was also invited to sing for the grand opening of The Dakota's newest venue Vieux Carré, where she performs regularly. She released a single, entitled "A Seed," which she co-wrote and recorded in 2015 with local hip-hop artist. Katia recorded her debut EP in February 2016, which is set to be released in Spring 2016.

Katia is the newest member of the Casablanca Orchestra, a nationally renowned touring show band. She is a performing member of (and secretary for) the Twin Cities Cabaret Artists' Network (TCCAN), a performance group dedicated to maintaining the New York-style Cabaret tradition of storytelling through song. She is also a board member of Face Forward: Humanity Through Art, a local non-profit that fosters a socially aware artist community through education and collaboration. You can also find her every Thursday evening at Jazz Central Studios, hosting their weekly Vocalist Night, which was created to spotlight established singers, as well as up-and-coming vocalists from the Twin Cities.
