The CD features Zooid, which has been together for the last 12 years, making it the longest-running band of Threadgill's illustrious 40 year career. The band's longevity is a testament to the commitment each of its members have made to master Threadgill's novel system for improvisation, which the Los Angeles Times has called "bewitching, if tough to pin down…Resisting familiar chord changes, scales and overt structure, the album won't be the easiest of listens for some, but somehow it never sounds the same way twice.
