During 12 consecutive years she was awarded for being the best seller in the music industry. Lucha Villa won the Ariel as Best Actress on a leading role in "Mecanica Nacional" in 1971, a classic Mexican Film and another Ariel as Best Supporting Actress in "The Place Without Limits" in 1978. She also won two Diosas de Plata, three Heraldos, and few more awards. She got married 5 times, had 3 kids, worked in 72 films, 4 musicals, recorded 300 simple discs, 200 double discs, and 60 LP's. In 1997, she decided to get a liposuction procedure. She suffered a severe brain damage from a medial negligence. For now, Lucha Villa is away from the show business since she is living in her daughter's ranch in San Luis Potosi, Mexico as part of her therapy tohat includes walking 4 miles a day, get fresh air, enjoy the nature and all the animals they have in their farm.
