Fabrizio De André & London Symphony Orchestra - Sogno n° 1 (2011)

Un omaggio della London Symphony Orchestra alla voce e alle canzoni di Fabrizio de André Orchestrato dal grande produttore Inglese Geoff Westley Registrato nel mese di settembre 2011 agli Abbey Road Studios di Londra. Westley ha interpretato le musiche di De André con grande sensibilità artistica traducendole in vere e proprie partiture originali rese ancora più suggestive dalle sovrapposizioni della voce di Fabrizio. Il risultato è una serie di affreschi orchestrali straordinari e commoventi in cui Westley ha saputo fondere la composizione strumentale contemporanea e la sensibilità interpretativa della più importante orchestra sinfonica del mondo con la voce di Fabrizio in alcune fra le pagine più alte della musica italiana.

English Description
Fabrizio Cristiano De André (18 February 1940 - 11 January 1999) was an Italian singer-songwriter. Known for his sympathies towards anarchism, libertarism and pacifism, his songs often featured marginalized and rebellious people, gypsies, prostitutes and knaves, and attacked the Catholic Church hierarchy hypocrisies. Artistically active for almost 40 years and the author of thirty studio albums, he is renowned for the quality of his lyrics and often considered a poet. He contributed to the valorization of the languages of Italy, most notably Ligurian and, to a lesser extent, Sardinian, Gallurese and Neapolitan. Following his early death several streets, places, parks, schools and public libraries were named after him.
