Gert Blokzijl is playing music since his 4th birthday, discovering a broken harmonium stored in the back of an old barn. Only one key produced a sound, but that was enough for him. Next he discovered electronic music through the sounds of other electronic musicians. He learned himself to play synthesizers, samplers and other electronic gear. At the moment Gert uses analogue and digital instruments and software, to get his sounds. Gert Blokzijl's music is based and inspired on events, pictures, paintings, films, etc. He makes music just for fun and enjoys the response of other people who listen to his music.
