Gary Girouard - The Naked Piano: Transitions (2016)

Gary Girouard is a multi-award winning composer of evocative solo piano melodies. "Transitions" is the 6th album in his "Naked Piano" series - and promises to be his best work yet! "Transitions" follows an epic tale of "Apollo" - a 15th century self-motivated Italian farm boy who falls in love with the privileged young "Lady Maria". The album chronicles a surprising string of events where Apollo's love helps him overcome incredible odds, rising from poverty and misfortune to become one of the richest and most influential thought leaders of his time.

Girouard has toured nationally and internationally including recent performances in Italy and his debut performance at Weill Hall at Carnegie (New York). His music has been described as “hauntingly beautiful”, “deeply moving” and “wonderfully inspiring”. Now residing on Cape Cod (MA), Girouard is heavily influenced by his European ancestry and time spent living and traveling through Italy.
