Llewellyn - Study Music (2013)
MP3 CBR 320 kbps | Tracks: 8 | 60:12 min | 156 Mb
Style: New Age | Label: Paradise Music

Like many of his New World Music labelmates, new age artist Llewellyn's compositions come from a deeply personal connection to music rather than formal or traditional study. Claiming a bloodline that can be traced to the last native Prince of Wales (from whom he took his name), Llewellyn maintains a connection to his Celtic heritage that informs and inspires both his spiritual and musical paths. Since childhood, composition came to him easily, and he imagined melodies far earlier than most of his peers.

Yanni - Ethnicity (2003)
EAC | FLAC | Image (Cue&Log) ~ 431 Mb (incl 5%) | Mp3 (CBR320) ~ 139 Mb (incl 5%) | Scans ~ 235 Mb
Genre: New Age, World Fusion | Label: Virgin | # 7243 5 81516 0 2 | Time: 00:57:59

Though Yanni is widely known as one of the most popular purveyors of New Age music, there's actually quite a bit going on here. In addition to the Greek keyboard whiz's usual arching, romantic melodies there are a host of other musical elements present. ETHNICITY is an eclectic mix of the operatic (check out Michelle Amato's pipes on "For All Seasons" and "Almost a Whisper"), the electronic (the pulsing, almost Moroder-esque sequencers on "Play Time" and "Written on the Wind"), and the ancient (the chanting on "Tribal Dream," the timeless-sounding flute work that permeates the album). Keying in on the album's title, the closing tune "Jivaeri" is a traditional Greek ballad that touches on Yanni's personal roots while still remaining very much of a piece with the rest of this sonically diverse offering.

Feng Shui Part 1 (1996). The music for each is meant to evoke the spirit of Feng Shui according to the elements. From the santoor of the Kahmiran Himalayas and the flutes evoking the Andes as well as the sound of the accordion, conjuring the image of folk dance in a mountain village in the first track, we move on to the sounds of the flute, harp, and accordion to suggest the forest in springtime in the second track. Next we are treated to the sounds of the flute again, and combined with the clarinet and the guitar comes the feel of a gentle breeze that will transport us through the landscape. For each element of Feng Shui we hear different sounds to envoke that image...

Kitaro - Oasis (1983)
MP3 CBR 320 kbps | Tracks: 10 | 49:27 min | 115 Mb
Style: New Age, World | Label: Pony Canyon Inc

Kitaro is one of the leading sound designers in the new age community. He is also one of the leading composers and performers. Oasis is one of his older albums (originally released on Pony Canyon Records in 1979), and it is a gem. This is truly a rest stop in the middle of a storm. The atmospheres are light, airy, and lyrical without vocals. The sound design incorporates symphonic synths and gentle melodies. The soundscapes are dynamic and bold. This is a great CD from a great man. It will appeal to fans of Anugama, Vangelis, Suzanne Ciani, and Constance Demby.

Faze Action - To the Sunset & Beyond Vol. 1 (2015)
Label: FAR (Faze Action) | MP3 320 kbps CBR | 79:41 min | 183 mb
Downtempo, Chill Out, Disco, Deep House

While they may have spent the last few years focusing on disco, Italo and electrofunk revivalism, the Lee brothers have released their fair share of deliciously Balearic material over the years. It's this side of their work that's showcased on To The Sunset & Beyond, a compilation that picks breezy, humid and sun-kissed highlights from their 20-year career. There's naturally plenty to get the juices flowing, from the cello-laden brilliance of stone cold classic "In The Trees", and the twinkling samba-soul of "Heartbeat", to the blustery live Afro-house of "Kariba" and string-laden ambience of "Weightless". There's also another chance to revisit Rae & Christian's cheery, rolling remix of "Samba", which first surfaced on Nuphonic way back in 1999.

Jim Brickman - More Greatest Hits (2012)
New Age, Instrumental, Piano | MP3 320 kbps CBR | 48 min | 112 MB
Label: Savoy Label Group | Rel: 2012

Pianist, composer, and producer Jim Brickman isn't about ruffling feathers, and his subtle, gentle, and melodic playing has an undeniable grace that isn't going to set off any nerves. His frequent collaborations with other artists in various pop and country genres lift his work out from under the new age umbrella a little, and that's what's collected here. Featured are songs with Lady Antebellum ("Never Alone"), Richie McDonald ("Coming Home for Christmas"), the last-known recording of Gerald Levert ("My Angel"), Sara Evans ("Never Alone"), Tom Douglas ("Love of My Life"), Marc Antoine ("Escape"), and Jake Simpson ("To Hear You Say You Love Me").
