At 1978, when Giorgos Dalaras had already 10 years of successful presence in the greek musical scene, he released this wonderful album with 26 popular songs, selected from his personal "song pool" he collected all these years. The album is very versatile in the songs' style from the "rebetiko" till the more 'artistic'. You will find a nice booklet with photos. As always, Giorgos Dalaras is an absolutely professional artist and never disappoints his fans worldwide. Enjoy.
Dalaras confided the 6 first songs of the album, to a new for 1978 composer, Stelios Vamvakaris, son of the "rebetiko" legend Markos Vamvakaris. And he was right. The songs are really delightful. The greater part of the 26 songs are composed by relatively new composers who are well known today. Dalaras included also 4 songs by Yiannis Spanos, a famous and very successful composer and one song by the great Mikis Theodorakis, the beautiful "Red Rose", at the last track of the album. For one more time, Giorgos Dalaras, proved that he knows very well, how to select the best possible songs for every work he releases.
